Another Charity Weekend in the books! This was my 7th Charity Weekend to be a part of and I can honestly say, I'm more encouraged about DSA's future with every year. It takes SO many to make this weekend happen. We have 28+ companies who give generously and without question every year. For the drawdown alone, multiple people sell tickets (350 is a lot to sell!), Amy Coleman and Richard Owens volunteer their time to play music, Selena Nause arranges flowers, Andy Hackleman sets up sound, Erin Jacobs Stagner organizes the auction, and the list goes on. We're always grateful for the local artists and retail stores that donate their items for the silent auction, helping us raise even more each year.
Sadly we had to cancel our golf tournament this year due to rain, but several Milwaukee employees normally come out and set up sponsor signs at each golf hole. Then at our clay shoot, Clint Dunn and Carty Tillman spend their entire day making the shoot run smoothly. Not to mention, Bo Prestidge lets us use his beautiful property for free!
I know I'm forgetting someone to thank, but I hope this list shows you how many people love Delta Streets. The Lord is working in downtown Greenwood and it's been amazing to watch over the last 7 years! I pray our students will know how loved and supported they are - that they have a community that's truly rooting for them to succeed and to know Jesus!
